We arrived safely in Dangriga Belize this afternoon to a party of greeters. Bre, Jonah, Teri and Rene were there to greet us at the tiny airport. I happened to be the co-pilot of the plane...a 10 seater - shotgun! It was pretty hilarious. We were whisked off to the meeting, so tired but made coffee when we got home and now we are awake again and ready to go. Beautiful Kingdom Hall, open aired, and even a little gecko visitor (that poor sister...crawled on her skirt - if it happens to me, I'm sure to let out a scream!) One of Rene's studies sat with us during the meeting, obviously at ease with anyone, and shared a songbook since we forgot ours. He's 10.
We were so warmly welcomed by Teri and Rene, it is like our home away from home already. We are even making pizza tonight...yumm. And it is so fun to be with Bre and Jonah all together it's one big family.
Tomorrow will be a service day and then Tuesday we will go on a Catamaran with some other couples in the area for snorkling and fishing.
We have good internet access so we can keep in contact!
Love, Caleb + Laura
P.S. Mom: You were right about the luggage. 1 free bag each, international : )

I love your posting title; how cleaver! =)
ReplyDeleteSounds like you're having a good time already! I've always wanted to co-pilot a plane. Not enough responsibilty to be blamed for anything, but usually involves aviator goggles that exude coolness and an unflappable sense of confidence. Be safe. Love you guys.

The gecko alone would make the whole trip worth it. Why don't we have those in our kingdom halls up here in Michigan? Let us know when you see your first monkey or jaguar (Anna's request). Keep on preachin too!
